Overview
The Cratebase.io Chrome extension ("Extension") is a label printing tool that helps users create labels from inventory and collection pages on various websites. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our Extension.
Information We Collect
Page Data (Temporary)
When you use the Extension on supported pages, it reads publicly visible information from the page to generate labels such as: Artist name, Album/release title, Genre and year, Record label and catalog number, Release ID, Price and condition (on inventory pages) and Shelf location (on your own inventory listings). This information is processed locally on your device and is NOT transmitted to any external servers.
User Preferences (Stored Locally)
The Extension stores your settings using Chrome's built-in storage: Selected label size, Preferred printer name and Label field display preferences. These preferences sync across your Chrome browsers if you're signed into Chrome, using Google's secure sync infrastructure.
How We Use Information
Page data is used solely to generate and print labels on your local printer - User preferences are used to remember your settings between sessions - We do NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers
Information Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit any information to third parties. All data processing occurs locally on your device.
Data Security
All data remains on your device - No external network requests are made by the Extension (except to communicate with your local DYMO printer software) - User preferences are stored securely via Chrome's storage API
Third-Party Services
The Extension requires DYMO Label Software to be installed on your computer for printing functionality. Please refer to DYMO's privacy policy for information about their software.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date.
